Magazine Article for Illinois History Magazine
Every year, 8th graders learn research skills. They will write an article to be submitted to the Illinois Historical Agency to be considered for publication in the Illinois History magazine. This year the IHPA is not publishing the magazines and the 8th graders will not be participating.
As students consider their topic, remember that oral history is a valuable resource. Included below are the requirements from the Illinois Historical Agency and possible ideas. If you want to see the requirements or past issues for some ideas, you can visit their website at:

Constitution Information
Illinois State law mandates that all 8th grade students must pass both the federal and state constitution tests. The federal constiatution test will be taken before Christmas. The state constitution test will be taken before Easter Break. Visit these links for help studying for both tests.
